The Statue of Ramesses II originally stood at 15 meters tall, made from sandstone. It was erected to honor the great pharaoh Ramesses II, symbolizing his power and dominance. The statue was originally placed at Ramesseum in Thebes (modern Luxor). Over time, parts of the statue were lost or damaged due to natural disasters and theft. Today, fragments of it can be seen in various museums, including the British Museum. The statue reflects the grandeur of Ramesses II’s reign, showcasing his military prowess and divine status.
