 The Statue of Menkaure dates back to the 4th Dynasty (around 2500 B.C.) and depicts the king standing, wearing the royal crown and traditional attire. Carved from greywacke stone, it symbolizes the king’s divine power and his connection to the gods. The statue was discovered in the Valley Temple of Menkaure at Giza. It is currently displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Menkaure is known for his pyramid at Giza, and the statue reflects his role in the continuation of the pyramid-building tradition.
