 The statue of Psamtik I dates back to the Late Period of Egyptian history, during which King Psamtik I ruled from around 664 to 610 B.C. He is considered the founder of the Twenty-Sixth Dynasty and played a crucial role in reuniting Egypt after a time of chaos and instability. The statue was discovered in the Karnak Temple in Luxor, crafted from granite, showcasing the artistic skill of sculptors during that period. It depicts the king in a majestic standing position, wearing royal attire and a crown, reflecting his authority and status. During his reign, Egypt experienced a cultural and religious renaissance, reviving many ancient traditions.
