The Isis statue

The Isis statue

The Isis statue dates back to the 18th Dynasty (around 1300 B.C.) and depicts the goddess Isis seated with her son Horus in her lap. Carved from granite or sandstone, the statue symbolizes motherhood, compassion, and protection in ancient Egyptian religion. Numerous statues of Isis were found in various Egyptian temples, including the famous Temple of Philae in Aswan. The statue is currently displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Isis was widely revered, and her worship spread beyond Egypt to other parts of the ancient world.
