The Statue of Khufu

The Statue of Khufu dates back to the 4th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom (around 2600 BCE). It depicts Pharaoh Khufu, known for commissioning the construction of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The statue is made of wood and shows the king seated, wearing the royal crown, with a calm facial expression, reflecting his majesty and power.

The statue symbolizes absolute authority and royal sanctity in ancient Egypt. It was discovered in Khufu's tomb in Giza and was believed to serve as a symbol of immortality. Today, the statue is displayed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. It is said to represent the precise craftsmanship of ancient Egyptian sculptors in portraying their kings.
