The Statue of Ahmose I

 The Statue of Ahmose I

The Statue of Ahmose I dates back to the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom (around 1550 BCE). It depicts Pharaoh Ahmose I, who led the revolt against the Hyksos and reunited Egypt. The statue is made of black granite and shows the king standing in a dignified pose, wearing the royal crown and holding a sword, symbolizing military strength and leadership.

The statue represents military victory and the restoration of Egyptian sovereignty. It was discovered in the Karnak Temple in Luxor and is now displayed at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Ahmose I is said to have played a key role in re-establishing Egypt as a dominant power in the ancient world after a period of weakness.
